Customer Service Representative
Bradenton, FL / Full-Time
In this role, you’ll be the friendly face greeting visitors and guiding adopters through the adoption process, from meeting their future companion to heading home together. You’ll help match animals with the right families, answer questions, handle paperwork, and support adopters even after they leave the shelter. You’ll also work closely with other staff and volunteers to keep things running smoothly and welcoming.
This role is hands-on and people-focused, with plenty of time spent getting to know our animals and potential adopters, helping schedule meet-and-greets, and preparing animals for their new homes. Strong customer service skills, a calm and compassionate attitude, and a love for teamwork are a must.
What we’re looking for:
- Friendly, patient, and professional communicator
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Confident handling sensitive conversations with empathy
- Animal experience is a plus (shelter, rescue, or volunteering)
- Comfortable with computers and the able to learn shelter software
Details:
- Full-time position (weekends required)
- Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand, walk, and handle animals safely for extended periods.
