The spirit of giving shined brightly this week at Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue Center. Nik Wallenda and the Circus Arts Conservatory presented Nate’s with a check for $125,000, the ticket sale proceeds from their highly successful holiday spectacle, Wonderland: Illuminate, held under the Big Top at UTC.

Nate’s was honored to be the nonprofit partner of the show, and this generous gift underscores Wallenda and the Circus Arts Conservatory’s shared commitment to giving back to the community. The donation will directly support Nate’s Journey Home capital campaign, a transformative effort to build a brighter future for animals in need.

Founded in 2008, Nate’s rescues and rehomes more than 2,000 homeless and at-risk dogs and cats each year. To meet growing demand, Nate’s launched a $16 million capital campaign to expand and improve the campus, doubling capacity, enhancing services, and creating a lasting resource for the community.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like Wallenda and the Circus Arts Conservatory, Nate’s is now in the home stretch of the campaign, having raised more than $12 million to date. Several major components are already complete, including the new Intake Building and the state-of-the-art Behavior and Training Center. The 23,000-square-foot Welcome and Adoption Center is set to open later this year and will feature a public veterinary clinic, expanded cat habitat, adoption suites, a children’s education room, and a community event space.
